I guess I am one of your “quality” subscribers, because your email about this post was perfectly timed for me. 😀 I was considering to create a free library, because every blogger and her uncle has one. Now you really got me thinking… thanks a lot!

It’s definitely a great way to grow your list fast, but it can be too much overwhelm, and a tough way to segment your email list. Good luck! 🙂

Ah, this is all so true!
I had resources available by subscribing and my list grew quick too! My strategy was to ‘eventually’ get subscribers on that list, to purchase something from me, one day. Fail!
Whenever I sent out an email with new freebies, it would get loads of clicks/downloads etc.
Then one day, I decided to send an email about my items for sale and NOT ONE PERSON clicked on a link. That’s when I realised I’ve got a list of people who aren’t my target market (as they only want my free stuff) 🙁
    Thanks for sharing!

Hey Holly! This is a great post and one reason why I always hesitated building a library. I love all your resources, your content is always on point! Just came back from a health semi-sabbatical so I’m getting back into the swing of things. Thanks for sharing this!! 🙂

Awesome! So glad, and I hear you on the sabbatical!
