Cyber Monday

I love this day! To me, shopping from home is way better than battling any crowd on a Friday after Thanksgiving. Cyber Monday is a day you can also save big on my products.

All of my products (except my pre-made logos) are 75% off at Two Pear Designs. You don’t need to use any coupon code. Simply add it to your cart and the new price will be reflected there! This is good all day long until 11:59 p.m. CST. Excludes any past or future purchases. Don’t miss out!

Cyber Monday Photography Templates

I’ve also marked all of my vector files at the Creative Market down! Regularly $8, they are all $6 today! If you’re an Adobe Illustrator user, these vector art files are great for your stock. Prices are already showing discounted price. Here’s a sampling of some of the items you can find over there.

Never Stop Doing Your Best

Never Stop Doing Your Best

Us creatives, we’re a quirky bunch. Am I right? We have emotions that go all over the spectrum. Luckily, we get to take most of that out in the work that we create. Well, most of the time.

Me, just like you, often wonders why someone likes something I make better than something else, and why they don’t like something that I love. I’ve had these discussions with friends that are also designers. There is no rhyme or reason to what will be received well in the great big world, and what won’t. Why one design is totally popular while the other flails as if it’s trying to stay above water. What hurts most about those situations is mostly the amount of time you put into them. Gone, wasted?

They may feel like a waste at the time, but just because something isn’t loved by the masses doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still be proud of what you have done. Learning to figure out your market can be hard. I’m still trying to figure that out. After who knows how many years now (dare I say over twenty?) I’m still hoping that one day, as a creative, I’ll make my big break.

And, when I say “big break” I don’t mean I want to become the next Mary Engelbreit or Dana Tanamachi. Don’t get me wrong. I am smitten by the work that artists like these ladies do and what they have achieved in life. But for me, the term “big break” just means stability. Something that does well enough that I’m able to feel comfortable for a little while. If something did so well for me that I was in those positions I’d take it, but it’s not a necessity for me to have.

As I write this, I think back through on my past. I wanted everyone to like me. Maybe I still do, but much less now. I draw and create because it fulfills something inside of me. I get happy when someone else is happy with what I’ve done. It can be the goofiest thing I’ve doodled, or it can be a marketing piece that a photographer desperately needed. In the end, it made them happy.

So, just remember, never stop doing your best just because someone didn’t give you credit. Credit can come just from knowing that you like what you did. And, if one person simply just smiles, that should be enough to fuel your fire and keep on going.

Here’s another new free printable download for you to go with this. I have it over on the printables page. Just click to go over and download it along with other designs. And, I hope it makes you smile.
